Mountain Lions at Two Guns

A Stop at Two Guns

We stopped at Two Guns, Arizona for what I thought would be a brief visit into the past. It turned into a three-hour exploration of some fascinating ruins of late 19th and early 20th century structures. It was fun walking the old zoo and trying to guess what kind of animals had been kept in each cage. Looking at how the pens were built it’s no wonder the proprietor, Harry Miller, was attacked by his animals more than once. Anyway, if you ever find yourself on Interstate 40 between Flagstaff and Winslow, it is worth your time to stop and explore Two Guns. Yes, this is just a teaser, there will be many more photos forthcoming.

It sure seems that a lot of my Arizona photog friends enjoy shooting there. I really must visit.

It is well worth the trip Scott. I planned on just showing the kids the abandoned campground and swimming pool but someone is living there again so those were fenced off but the older structures were accessible and fascinating.
